Child Neuropsychological Intervention

Child Neuropsychological Intervention

The Child Neuropsychological Intervention always takes place in individualised sessions which work individually with each child or young person.

The treatment begins with a neuropsychological examination that is performed by administering tests and questionnaires. The results of these specific tests are interpreted to provide a cognitive, behavioural and emotional profile of the child. In this sense, information is obtained on their general intellectual performance, attention span, speed of information processing, memory, executive functioning, behaviour and mood.

The aims of child neuropsychology treatment are:

  • Cognitive training (attention, processing speed, memory, executive function)
  • Modification of the environment
  • Behavioural intervention
  • Emotional support
  • Family counselling
