Phisiotherapy and gait rehabilitation. Group sesions.
Guttmann Brain Health Institute offers a treatment programme of physiotherapy and gait rehabilitation in a group, with sessions based on shared rehabilitation goals, with activities being planned around these goals in both the rehabilitation room and the swimming pool.
Group neurorehabilitation sessions have a very positive influence on improving the level of functionality, as well as restoring self-esteem, providing additional benefits to those of the treatment itself, due to the positive impact that spending time with other people has on our mood.
We adapt to your individual needs, offering a specialized and personalized treatment, as well as the possibility of interacting with a group of people in a situation similar to yours.
TYPES OF INTERVENTION IN THE PHYSIOTHERAPY AND GAIT REHABILITATION TREATMENT PROGRAMME
- Hydrotherapy: Working in water with activities to improve balance and muscle tone.
- Functional training: Promotes function mobility and coordinating the two upper extremities.
- Gait rehabilitation: Activities with or without robotic support to help recover correct gait.
A medical report of no more than three months old will be requested and assessed by the medical team. If you do not have an up-to-date report, you will need an initial consultation with the relevant Guttmann Brain Health Institute specialist who will prescribe the appropriate number of sessions.
A minimum of 3 people are needed to keep the group running.
The type of treatment given will be determined along with the professional team.
