Dr. López completed his medical studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and specialized in psychiatry at the Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge. He is currently an Associate Researcher at the Laboratory of Neuropsychiatry and Neuromodulation at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School (MGH-HM), where he was able to specialize in various non-invasive neuromodulation techniques such as Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS), as well as Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). He plays the role of Associate Psychiatrist in the Resistant Depression Unit at the Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge and is a member of the Institut de Reserva Biomedical de Bellvitge (IDIBELL) and the Mental Health Network Biomedical Research Center (CIBERSAM).
